I will be attending Salon West’s May salon for a conversation about arts, culture and John Tory’s Music Cities Plan. Toronto needs these types of conversations as the city continues to evolve – conversations about how arts & culture policies are shaping Toronto life.
Andreas Kalogiannides is named to the Grand Jury of the 2015 Toronto Independent Music Awards alongside Alan Cross! Now in its 11th season, the TIMAs have given away over $300,000 in custom prize packages. The TIMAs have been the platform for independent musicians to network, attain tools for success and be discovered for ten years!
CMW! It’s that time of year again where the wonderful people in the Canadian music industry gather in Toronto to discuss and celebrate the coolest in Canadian film, music, and digital media.
What could be better than that? Well, the day parties, of course…
Tonight I’ll be at the launch party for Ryerson’s Legal Innovation Zone! We are very excited to be a part of the team that is using technology to change how Canadians perceive and interact with the legal system.
The Legal Innovation Zone at Ryerson University is a co-working space for the people and ideas that will change the status quo of Canada’s legal system. The world of law and justice in Canada is, in many ways, operating as it did 100 years ago. For many Canadians, it is too slow, too expensive or too complex. It’s a system in desperate need of innovation.
Kalogiannides Law is proudly co-sponsoring “How to Establish Yourself as an Expert in the Legal Profession: PR Tips and Tricks” hosted by ADR Think Tank.
Our three wonderfully talented panelists will share their experiences & insights into what makes an expert an “expert”, and how to incorporate social media and PR strategies into your glorious ascent into the ‘Expert’ Stratosphere!
I am grateful for the invitation to attend A Conversation with Arts & Culture, presented by Terry Nicholson, Director of Toronto Arts & Culture Services, City of Toronto.
The presentation will:
Update Toronto’s arts and culture leaders on the 2011 Creative Capital Gains: An Action
Plan for Toronto. Review the recommendations completed to date and next steps;
Introduce new staff at Toronto’s Economic Development & Culture and update you on EDC’s reorganization; and
Provide an opportunity to share thoughts on current issues.
I will be attending a cocktail reception to launch of The Royal Conservatory’s 21C Music Festival! From May 21-25, the 21C festival will feature five nights of music composted mostly in the 21st century, spanning across classical to jazz to latin to pop.
This Friday, I will be at the Art Gallery of Hamilton for SOCAN’s Family & Friends Bash at the JUNOS 2015! It’s JUNO week, so there’s lots of events, concerts and happenings – look forward to seeing some friends and meeting new ones!
Andreas will be speaking on a panel at the 2015 Manifesto Mentorship Series, entitled “Law and Order: Know Everything About Contracts to Travel Insurance.” The panel, offered by Manifesto Community Projects in conjunction with FACTOR, will be hosted at our good friends’ place Coalition Music.
I will be attending ADR Think Tank’s “Drinks After Work” Networking Night at Toronto Athletic Club. This was an amazing event in 2014, filled with engaging and interesting people and great conversations.
Looking forward to this round!
